Beaujolais Nouveau

The third Thursday of November brings one of the world's largest wine events of the year. At precisely 12:01AM in France, all the new Beaujolais wine is released to the market, and so begins the race around the world to be the first in your neighborhood to pour the Beaujolais Nouveau.

Much pomp and circumstance revolves around the purveyors' ability to reveal the wine to the market, and since our opening in 1999, Bistro 501 has carried on this tradition in Lafayette, Indiana, welcoming the new wine with a seven course dinner along with casks of wine sent directly to us from the Joseph Drouhin winery in Beaune, France. Our annual dinner is designed by the Bistro chefs to include a delightful variety of rare courses including game meats and other specialty items.

We look forward to seeing you in November. Please make reservations early in the season as seats go quickly. This is a special event that you don't want to miss.
