Though your server will provide you a complete list of wine and martini selections, some of the owners' favorite wines are featured below:
Allram Gruner Veltliner (Austria)
This is one of the more exciting white wines on our list. Gruner Veltliner is the grape varietal. It is similar to the Sauvignon Blanc in its cripsness with beautifully balanced acidity, full citrus flavors, and a spicy finish. This is a fantastic wine for the white wine lover.
Williamsburg Winery Viognier (Virginia)
Produced by a member of the Meyer clan at Williamsburg Winery, this is a bright wine with fresh tropical fruit character, finishing with delicate floral qualities. A beautifully balanced wine.
Roederer Estate Sparkling Brut (California)
Roederer Estate is the first California sparkling wine produced by Louis Roederer, famous for making Cristal champagne. This is crisp and elegant with complex pear, spice, and hazelnut flavors.
Pasanau Priorat Cep Nous (Spain)
The Priorat region of Spain is becoming one of the most sought after areas for producing rich, deep, complex wine. This wine is a blend of several different grapes to produce aromas of super ripe berries, licorice, and rose oil. It is slightly sweet to begin with, then turns lush with a nutty oak finish.
Williamsburg Winery Gabriel Archer Reserve (Virginia)
This is the second wine on our list that is produced by the Meyer clan. This unique and distinctive wine is named in honor of the co-captain of the "Godspeed", arriving in the New World in April 1607. Captain Archer led the first exploratory party up the James River. This wine is blended from cabernet, merlot, and cabernet franc in the Bordeaux tradition of wine making.
Ceretto Zonchero Barolo (Italy)
"The wine of kings and the king of wines" is how this stunning wine is known, featuring mixtures of flavors from faded roses to tea, leather, and earth, with a long, elegant finish.
Chateau de Campuget "1753" Syrah (France)
Taking its name from the earliest dated mention in a document found at the Chateau. The nose is reminiscent of spices from Provence, like thyme, rosemary, and ripe, red fruit. This wine is round and well-structured, with an elegant balance and a hint of pepper on the finish.
Perrin & Fils Chateauneuf du Pape (France)
An important growing region in France, the village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape is in the southern portion of the Rhone valley. It's name means "New Castle of the Pope," referring to the summer palace built in the area during the 1300s and used by the Popes from Avignon. With an elaborate blending of many grape varietals, this is a complex wine with rich diversity of aromas and flavors. Beautifully crafted for elegance with a dominate note of pepper.
Guenoc Petite Syrah (California)
The Guenoc winery is one of the oldest in California, and was originally owned by the famous mistress of Edward VII, Lilly Langtry, whose portrait still graces the label of the bottle. Petite Syrah is mainly grown in California, though some believe it is actually a variety called Durif which was grown in the Rhone valley but is now nearly extinct. This wine has a deep color which is robust and peppery with plenty of tannins.
Tenuta Sant'Antonio Amarone (Italy)
The grapes for this Amarone wine are hand-harvested, then air-dried for three months and aged in oak barrels for two years. This lends itself to the intense flavors of rich, ripe fruit, black pepper, spice and chocolate. A spectacular wine.
